August Farm is run by Liza Judge and Marianne Copene. We are a female owned, small-scale, pasture based, diversified livestock and flower farm. We are located along the banks of the Chehalis River in Independence Valley, nestled in a vibrant farming community, halfway between Portland and Seattle. We raise pastured chickens, whey-fed pigs, grass fed sheep, pastured raised eggs and specialty cut flowers. We hold a deep respect for all life forms on this farm. In knowing that we are nurturing the animals that will in turn be nourishment for others and ourselves we continuously strive to embrace farming practices that puts the animals’ welfare as the highest priority. All of our animals graze on pasture and are fed certified organic/local feed. We do not use chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides on our land. We always work towards encompassing sustainable farming methods that work within the ecological landscape.
